Q. I’m afraid if I use pavers I will get weeds in my walks and patio.  Is that true?

A.  The use of polymeric sand swept into the paver joints will form a flexible “grout”. It will stabilize the pavers, keep rain and insects out, and prevent weeds from growing through joints.

Q. What makes pavers so strong and resilient?

A.  Pavers are made of high-density concrete making them twice as strong and less absorbent than poured concrete. Surface stains are thereby minimized on patios and driveways. Damage from snow plows and de-icing salts are eliminated. Interlocking pavers form a mortarless, flexible engineered surface that won’t crack or crumble as a result of ground movement.

Q. Can pavers be installed anywhere instead of asphalt or poured concrete?

A.  Yes. Durability and long lasting charm make sense for any surface or design possibility including, driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks and sunrooms. With dozens of colors and shapes to choose from, creating an unique living space is easy.

Q.  Why pavers instead of a treated wood deck?

A. - Limited Lifetime Warranty

     - Treated wood eventually yields to natural wear.

     -  Pavers support many design choices. Treated wood can hardly accommodate curves.

     - Pavers  are available in a far wider selection of textures and colors.

     - Pavers don’t require maintenance. Treated wood requires waterproofing every 2 to 4 years.

     - Pavers are not toxic. Treated wood has a high toxicity which require strict precautions.

Q.  Will frost affect my paver installation?

A.  No, if you have a properly prepared base, pavers will outlast poured concrete and asphalt!

Q. How long after installation can I use my patio or driveway?

A.  Immediately once all the installation steps are completed, including compaction and the sweeping in of jointing sand.

Q.  Can I use pavers around my swimming pool?

A.  Definitely! pavers not only will add beauty to your pool surround, they also provide a slip resistant surface to walk on. Pavers are also convenient when you have to service the area around the pool, you can easily lift and re-lay the pavers.

Q.  How long do pavers and retaining walls last?

A.   Most  paver  products have a Lifetime Warranty. Pavers and retaining walls are manufactured to have a minimum strength two times greater than the strength of normal poured concrete.

Q.  Can I replace my pavers if something was to chip or damage them?

A.  Most easily! A paver can be pried out easily with two flat head screwdrivers and a new paver inserted. It is recommended to ask us for a few extra pavers so that you are insured to match the color exactly.

Q: Will my  paving stones last longer if I seal them?

A: No. Sealer does 3 things. First it helps resist stain penetration. Second, it enhances the color. And third, it binds the sand particles in between the joints making it difficult for weed seeds to germinate.
